Thanks for the article! just to say that i am positive that the Spree Mid was available in 2002, so it could not have premiered in 03. I bought the Gotham silver model in France in early 2002 – probably Jan/Feb – , then the white/blue model in the US in September 2002. By 2003, the Spree Mid was unavailable in retail already. I do agree on the stellar quality and feel of the shoe, built at a standard we thought only Nike could reach. Reflecting on my long-gone times playing as a guard, the Spree remains my favorite sneaker ever, alongside the Jordan xi, and maybe Air Maestro 96 – but the latter might be sentimental 😉
