8 Best Under Armour Basketball Shoes 2023

Best Under Armour Basketball Shoes

Under Armour basketball shoes weren’t that popular and were pretty much under the radar for quite some time. Not a lot of NBA players wore them (shout out to the OG Under Armour NBA athlete, Brandon Jennings) and only a few people really knew that the brand offered basketball shoes. But when you sign one of the most influential players of all time in Stephen Curry, all that changes. Now all the kids want to be like him and, consequently, want to wear his sneakers. But there is a lot more to Under Armour basketball shoes than just the Curry line.

As Under Armour tries to be competitive with the biggest brands in sportswear, namely Nike and adidas, they have continued to put out sneakers that cater to guards, wings, bigs, and anyone who’s looking to stay within a budget but get a good performer. The Curry line, in particular, has consistently produced some of the best-performing shoes every season, and the newer Embiid line has been great up to now. All this to say that Under Armour basketball shoes are always a solid choice.

We at WearTesters have tried and tested pretty much all the basketball footwear from the brand and we’re now ready to present you with the list of the best Under Armour basketball shoes currently available. You can also check our list of the best basketball shoes overall for a bit more context.

Curry 10

The Curry 10 is a great follow-up to the previous iteration, the Under Armour Curry 9. All of the little nitpicks that users had with the last one have been fixed with the most recent version. The sole retains the Flow technology that we loved, plus the upper is reinforced so that the material doesn’t stretch too much. Entry and exit are smooth and you get a more customizable feel and fit. One of the best shoes of 2022. Read the full review. Price: $160

Under Armour Flow FUTR X 2

The Under Armour Flow FUTR X 2 nearly uses FLOW with some tweaks. It’s cool that we can get almost the same technology at a lower price point. The upper is made up of a full textile upper. Know that there is some break-in time needed, but it’s only about one session. There’s also micro-molded mesh in the rear section and tiny bits of synthetics. Great if you’re looking to try Flow without spending too much. Read the full review. Price: $120

Under Armour Embiid One

The Under Armour Embiid One looks basic right off the bat, but offers good performance. For the best experience with the traction, try them outdoors. The grip will be amazing as long as the rubber lasts. Cushion, on the other hand, is Micro G with a HOVR heel puck. Unlike the setup in the Under Armour Curry 7, these actually offer that comfortable and yet stable ride that MicroG was famous for back in the day. Support is also good, especially with the additional clips on the midfoot that help lock the foot in place. Read the full review. Price: $120

Under Armour HOVR Havoc 4

The Under Armour HOVR Havoc 4 is one that will leave long time Under Armour basketball shoes fans wanting more of the same. It brings some of the proven tech previously used as well as some more modern takes. The cushioning setup is exactly the same as the Under Armour Embiid 1: full-length, comfortable MicroG with a slab of HOVR in the heel. For those of you who are heel-strikers, this shoe will be one you should seriously consider. The upper material is all Clone which forms to your foot over time. Read the full review. Price: $120

Best Outdoor Under Armour Basketball Shoes 2023

Under Armour Spawn 4

The Under Armour Spawn 4 is a guard-specific shoe and you’ll quickly figure that out once you put them on your feet. The midsole is full-length MicroG which is comfortable. The heel portion of the midsole is rounded much like the Nike Giannis Immortality 2. The materials are basic with flexible nylon woven mesh consisting all of the upper with additional fuse overlays for durability purposes. Be careful with the fit, though. Many will want to go down half a size due to significant toe box dead space. Read the full review. Price: $110

Under Armour Embiid One

The Under Armour Embiid One has some of the best outdoor traction and grip you’ll find. They’re slightly more durable than most, but we all know how rubber on sneakers is nowadays. The cushion is also adequate with the right amount of impact protection for hours of play on the concrete or black top. The materials aren’t anything special, but the thick fuse overlays are there to protect the shoe from anything that might damage it. Read the full review. Price: $120

Curry 3Z6

Curry 3Z6

The Curry 3Z6 is solid, though some aspects need improvement. Our favorite feature is the traction. It’s thick and grips well on all courts, including concrete and blacktop outdoor courts. You’ll enjoy a stable ride if you can deal with the minimal MicroG midsole. These shoes are an excellent option for shooters that need a solid, flat base. Plus, they’re easy on the wallet. See the full review. Price: $80

Under Armour Curry 7

The Under Armour Curry 7 only really has one weakness: cushion. Although it sounds awesome with the combination of the brand’s top tier foam compounds, namely HOVR and MicroG, the feel wasn’t as awesome. If you do, however, prefer court feel over some impact protection, then these are a great option. They’re also stable, not only because of the cushion, but also by the way that the whole shoe is designed and constructed. Plus, the traction is great just like Curry sneakers of the past.
